Acclaimed classical pianist and composer Fazıl Say is working on a new project that will depict the beauty of İstanbul and four other Anatolian cities through music. As part of a symphony on which he is currently working for İstanbul?s coming role as a European Capital of Culture in 2010, Say will compose piano sonatas for the eastern cities of Sivas and Malatya, the southeastern city of Diyarbakır and the Black Sea town of Hopa in Artvin, he told the Anatolia news agency yesterday.
